Myro and Cheddo Build a Home

A round window turns house-building into a small game for Myro and Cheddo.

The story moment

Myro held the round window frame against the new house. Cheddo popped his face through the middle. Myro moved the frame a little left. Cheddo followed. A little right. Cheddo followed again. At last, they both laughed. Myro set the frame above the door, and Cheddo carried over the next plank.

What would you put beside the front door?

You don’t have to answer.

Read the story moment aloud if your child wants, then look at the picture together before coloring: who is there, what is happening, what is hiding near the edge. Every question is optional, and your child chooses every color.

About the book

Printing

Print single-sided on A4 or US Letter paper and choose “Fit”, centered. Each page is a square design with its own white margin, so there is nothing to trim. Crayons and colored pencils work well. Using markers? Place a spare sheet underneath.
