One Tree at a Time
Pico stands where the garden path meets the trees. From here, the forest looks enormous. The first tree is much nearer.
This free coloring page invites your child into Pico and the First Tree through one small scene: a mouse explorer, three rounded trees, and a path that does not have to be followed all at once.

Choose a place to begin
Your child may color the tree they would visit first, choose a light for Pico to notice, or simply enjoy the whole picture. No written answer is needed.
For grown-ups
Pico’s first stop is a possibility, not a demand. There is no need to connect it to something your child finds difficult. If they do make that connection, let them choose the size of their own next step, including a pause.
Printing
Print single-sided on A4 or US Letter paper. Choose “Fit to printable area” and turn off browser headers and footers. Each square design prints on its own sheet; there is no need to trim it. Crayons and colored pencils work well. Using markers? Place a spare sheet underneath. Check your printer’s paper guidance before choosing thicker paper.
