About this pack

One evening the lanterns on Lantern Hill stop glowing. Lunai and his friends follow a trail of clues around the village, the pond and the forest, and each clue is a puzzle: a secret code, a word search, a picture crossword, a logic grid, a dot-to-dot.

Puzzles come at two levels, so a 6-year-old and a 12-year-old can follow the same story side by side, and the last page shows where the light went.

What ages is it for?

Children ages 6–12. Each puzzle is marked with one lantern (about 6–8) or two lanterns (about 9–12).

What if my child gets stuck?

Skipping a puzzle is fine: the story still makes sense. The answer key at the back is for grown-ups.

Is it good for travel?

Yes. Print the pages you need and bring a pencil and a few crayons.

Are there mazes or spot-the-difference pages?

No. Those are in the free gift pages; this book uses other kinds of puzzles.
