About this pack

Pick a character card, a place card and a surprise card, and a new adventure begins: maybe Pico and the owl librarian at the stone arch, when music comes from inside a tree. Children color the cards, then tell the story in comic panels, in a fold-up mini-book, or on lined writing pages.

Stories can be mostly pictures and a few words, or long chapters. The steps follow the Meowelo rhythm: read, notice, color, discover.

Questions

Does my child need to write a lot?

No. A story can be told in comic panels with a few words, or told aloud while a grown-up writes it down.

What ages is it for?

Children ages 6–12. Younger children draw and dictate; older children write their own chapters.

Can I use it in class?

Yes, for the class you teach. Print the cards once per group and the writing pages once per child.

Are the characters from the books?

Yes. The seven Meowelo friends are on the cards, with five new village neighbors to meet.
