Myro's Surprise Picnic

Clouds lead Myro and Pico to an unexpected picnic room inside a hollow tree.

The story moment

Myro had packed pears, bread and two little cups. Before he could spread the blanket, a cloud covered the sun. Pico pointed to a hollow tree. Inside was a dry shelf just wide enough for the basket. Myro tucked the blanket around them. Their picnic had found a room of its own.

What would you pack for this picnic?

Read the story moment aloud if your child wants, then look at the picture together before coloring: who is there, what is happening, what is hiding near the edge. Every question is optional, and your child chooses every color.

About the book

Printing

Print single-sided on A4 or US Letter paper and choose “Fit”, centered. Each page is a square design with its own white margin, so there is nothing to trim. Crayons and colored pencils work well. Using markers? Place a spare sheet underneath.
