The Rainbow Kite

Lunai and Riyu turn a tangled kite tail into a meadow ribbon dance.

The story moment

The kite lay on the meadow blanket with a tear in one corner. Lunai held a patch while Riyu untangled the string. One loop slipped free, then another. A breeze lifted the kite's long ribbon tail. Riyu held it above his head like a dancing snake. Lunai grinned and reached for the last knot.

What shapes could you draw on the kite?

You don’t have to answer.

Read the story moment aloud if your child wants, then look at the picture together before coloring: who is there, what is happening, what is hiding near the edge. Every question is optional, and your child chooses every color.

About the book

Printing

Print single-sided on A4 or US Letter paper and choose “Fit”, centered. Each page is a square design with its own white margin, so there is nothing to trim. Crayons and colored pencils work well. Using markers? Place a spare sheet underneath.
