One Lantern at a Time

A lantern walk turns a hill into a trail of warm little lights.

The story moment

The village lantern walk had reached the foot of the hill. Lunai carried one light. Myro carried another. Pico's little lantern bobbed near the grass. At each bend, they paused to look back. The path below had become a winding ribbon of lights. Pico lifted his lantern a little higher, and they rounded the next bend.

Where does your eye follow the lantern path?

Read the story moment aloud if your child wants, then look at the picture together before coloring: who is there, what is happening, what is hiding near the edge. Every question is optional, and your child chooses every color.

About the book

Printing

Print single-sided on A4 or US Letter paper and choose “Fit”, centered. Each page is a square design with its own white margin, so there is nothing to trim. Crayons and colored pencils work well. Using markers? Place a spare sheet underneath.
